New Freedom Fun Ft. Worth Location Announced!
current focus is Dallas & Houston areas…
We are excited to announce that we have sold the Ft. Worth area to Richard & Grace Zenteno & couldn’t be more excited. Richard & Grace began their investigation into Freedom Fun during the Covid outbreak when their 17 year old son Josh was working for Freedom Fun in Austin. Josh would come home & share stories of mobile laser tag and outdoor movies that he hosted…there is never a shortage of young men & woman willing to work for Freedom Fun…
However, what really got their attention was that their son continued to have employment and that Freedom Fun was in demand, even during a pandemic! As more and more consumers began to shift to outdoor activities & drive-in movies (a new offerring by Freedom Fun) – Freedom Fun actually started to increase in demand from the year prior – this really got their attention.
The Zenteno Family & Founder Tim Masters Prior To Signing
Richard & Grace had been praying for an opportunity to start a business and simply can’t wait to get started. We will be sending out more information about the new Ft. Worth location and their progress in future newsletters – so stay tuned 🙂 Founder, Tim Masters is now focusing efforts on other Dallas counties & the Houston area.
New Mobile Drive-In Movies Fuel Growth During Covid!
Freedom Fun USA has always been about getting outdoors & celebrating life – whenever & wherever one chooses. Whether that be the backyard, local park or school playground – our DNA is centered around being outside and providing amazing game & outdoor movie experiences which are stress free & extremely fun for our customers.
With that being said, it’s no surprise to founder Tim Masters that people are seeing the benefits of this versatility and intimacy – that people are actually migrating to more “at home” and “local” options more than ever. Tim share’s, “When the initial outbreak of Covid occurred during the earlier months of 2020, we did see a slight decrease in get together’s – even at home. However, our flexibile and lean operations model allowed us to quickly pivot and adjust our menu items to more “stuck at home” fun packs that were smaller in size. For example, popular curbside pickup and drop off options that consist of laser tag and virtual reality were a hit, providing families who were quarantined lower cost and flexible “fun” options. However – once the public became more educated on Covid & city ordinances began to be lifted – allowing “outdoor & socially distanced gatherings”, we really started to take off – even surpassing our numbers from last year. Many city ordinances even specifically mention “outdoor movies” being one of the few activities that are allowed.
The founder is passionate about the companies DNA and future opportunities. Tim shares, “See, we thrive in the outdoor space. Our entire value proposition is to get people outdoors and in the comfort of their own community wherever that may be. Then be able to deliver incredible & extremely fun outdoor movie & game options wherever our customers choose.”
The New Inflatable Drive-In Movie! Wow 😱
Probably one of the most exciting and successful product launches that we’ve ever had has been our one of a kind giant inflatable drive-in movie option. This product has seen growth like no other. Zack Masters, who is Tim’s son and leads Austin operations, deep dived into this need many months ago, identifying the requirements & sourcing a unique product offerring that no competitor in the area offers. This inflatable movie screen is unlike any other in Texas & is specifically made for drive-in’s. These screens are simply “jaw dropping” and when people see them – positive word of mouth & social media exposure quickly follows leading to reservations filling up months in advance.
Althought our focus is shifting to Houston , we still have territories available in Dallas and San Antonio. Next year we plan to open our first out of state franchise as well. We really do believe that “Every Town In America Needs a Freedom Fun USA!”
